Friday the 19th August 2016 D&E held their annual Biggest Aussie Pie Night.
The night is always a great success and it wouldn’t be possible without the involvement of our fantastic suppliers and subcontractors, FTG Motor Group were our Platinum sponsor for the night, generously contributing $5,000.
A very big thankyou to our Gold sponsors (who donated $2,000 plus): Centre Hardware, Fujistu, Proplas, Grilltech and Reece.
And thankyou to the Silver sponsors (who donated $1,000 plus): Masterflow Solutions, Greg Ashmore, Delta Building Automation, Automatic Heating, Talon Group, Tranworx and Johnson Controls.
This year D&E were lucky enough to have Nathan Buckley come along to the event, Nathan generously donated his time to the D&E Biggest Aussie Pie night as the “Patron of Challenge”, he presented the D&E Directors (Brad Alexander, Colin Way, Greg Andrews) with a framed carton drawing (refer to images of the night to see this fantastic artwork), commissioned by Challenge to thank D&E for their continued support.
Through various auctions, raffling off terrific prizes and selling mountains of pies and sausage rolls , including a generous donation from D&E, matching dollar for dollar, we raised a total of:
$84,668.77
We have such a great time doing this and we are so proud to announce that our grand total raised over 9 years of working with this great cause is:
$466,219.67
Next big event is the D&E End of Year Party whereby we will be raffling off a car and holiday with all proceeds of the raffle benefiting Challenge.
Biggest Aussie Pie Night 2015 Challenge Supporting Kids with Cancer
Friday 21st August D&E held the Biggest Aussie Pie Night – our annual charity event.
The night was a huge success, with employees, subbies and suppliers coming along purchasing pies, raffle tickets and bidding on auction items. We are very proud to announce that the final tally raised for the night, with D&E generously matching dollar for dollar was $101,215.70 – this is the highest amount yet and we are incredibly grateful for everyone getting behind this fantastic cause.
This brings the grand total over 8 years to: $381,550.90
The 2014 Annual Challenge. A great Success!
It is with great pride that we announce the 2014 Biggest Aussie Pie Night final tally, together with a generous donation from D&E matching dollar for dollar, we raised a total of $60,105.35 for Challenge Support Kids with Cancer.
This brings our grand total over seven years to: $268,385.15
